Marnie Gershowitz

Experience: Marnie has over 20 years of extensive training in classical ballet, pointe, variations, character and jazz dance. She was a featured soloist with the Huntington Ballet Theatre and New York Dance Theatre. She has danced her way through the Nutcracker ballet, from early on as a soldier and party scene child, all the way through Marzipan, Spanish and Arabian solos, as well as Frau Stahlbaum. She is a graduate of Indiana University where she studied in the School of Ballet under the director of Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux and Patricia McBride. She has a B.A. in Psychology from IU and earned her Masters degree in Special Education from Dowling College. She has been teaching ballet and creative movement for the past 15 years and is thrilled to be a part of the Variations faculty.
