Experience:Heather Connolly Granger has been teaching and choreographing for over ten years. Her training and performance background includes numerous studios in NYC and Atlanta. Ms. Granger has studied at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, the Paul Taylor School, and with Sean Curran, Finis Jung and Frank Hatchett, to name a few. She has been a company member with In Forward Motion Dance & Music Company, Zoetic Dance Ensemble and Gathering Wild Dance Company. In 1993 Ms. Granger performed in a DTW production at the Merce Cunningham space. Shortly after receiving her BS in Visual Arts from SUNY New Paltz, NY, Ms. Granger moved to Atlanta and was a performer in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. This summer, she performed and taught a master class in Italy. Ms. Granger teaches Modern and Jazz. Her classes focus on combinations, with emphasis on turns and jumps. Her modern combinations have Limon undertones with gestured, innovative movements. Ms. Granger’s quick-paced, jazz combinations range from hip-hop to cutting-edge pop. Currently, Ms. Granger is choreographing and showcasing her own work and teaches exclusively at Variations, a dancer’s studio
